An incredible 18 Southcity swimmers selected for SKZN swimming team.

Southcity hosted the SKZN High Schools Champs gala last week Wednesday. The Southcity team won the gala with 243 points, Curro Creston taking 2nd(174points),  3rd Suid Natal Hoer Skool (135 Points), 4th PSHS (124) and 5th Toti High (112). Alex Labuschagne and Leah Scott both broke 4 out of 4 U14 records at this gala, Bayanda Hufner and Tristan Horsley each broke 2 records as well.
Congratulations to Bayanda Hufner, Alex-Zandre Labuschagne, Leah Scott, Tristan Horsley, Jayden Vermeulen, Kade Orsmond and Kaitlin Ramos who were invited to participate in the Grand Prix gala at Kings Park this weekend – this is a National gala where they swim in the ladies or mens events (not age groups). Special mention to be made of Leah Scott who took and incredible 26 seconds off her previous best for 200m Breaststroke. A highlight of this gala was meeting Chad Le Clos (some of our swimmers swam in the same event as him.)
