On 20th February, three of our learners competed at Hoërskool Suid-Natal in the preliminary round of the competition. Sarah-Joy Pringle and Ethan Saunders (Grade 12) and Ondela Mtati (Grade 11) spent many hours at break and after school preparing for this event. Their topic, “At what point does being WOKE become a hindrance?” was well-received and the team did our school proud. We have made it through to the semi-finals to be held in Durban. The adjudicators’ excellent feedback will assist the speakers in refining their speeches for the next round. We commend Sarah-Joy, Ethan and Ondela for representing our school at this prestigious event.
